Who will benefit?

Home ownership promotes a sense of pride and self-worth, and offers a sense of belonging in the community. This promotes good neighbors and responsible home ownership.

• Community. By making home ownership accessible to a broader range of incomes, Evanston can sustain the diversity needed to maintain a balanced and healthy community.
• Individuals. Based on the income statistics, there is an ample supply of qualified buyers.
• Businesses. Affordable housing for employees will provide them the option to live in the community in which they work. This will offer reduce commuting time as well as other benefits of proximity to work. It will also allow employees to participate in the community they already serve.
• Neighborhoods. Responsible homeowners will enhance neighborhood property values.
