Archived filesThursday, October 20, 2005 - Citizens' Lighthouse Community Land Trust achieves IRS tax-exempt statusToday CLCLT achieved a significant milestone upon receipt of a letter from the Internal Revenue Service granting tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The designation came approximately eight months after submission of the application, and will open the door to application for funding from foundations and the City of Evanston as we embark on our mission of permanently affordable housing.
